LILOLA

At the center of the stage, a pile of miscellaneous objects awaits recycling. That's where Lilola's story begins, a performance-show about building oneself through play, or how to build a refuge-hut to try to find - groping, sometimes making mistakes - how to be in the world. Inspired by Peter Sis's magnificent book, Robinson, this first piece for young audiences by the TDU Company literally draws a story on stage, like telling a tale.

This wordless performance-show, integrating object manipulation, dance, and visual arts, bathed in the projections of the moving paintings of the visual artist Maya Rochat, is a declaration of love to the imaginary world of children, of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
