World of color, in tension between light and darkness, the work « Language of color » is inspired by the idea of absolute fluidity as well as its intrinsic duality. Observing the language of organic life, exploring matter, water and time.
In these 14 pictorial worlds, Maya Rochat plays with natural (clay, spirulina) and artistic elements (marble and waterpainting), inter-binding both creative and destructive processes. The structures and compositions reference our inner world ; they reflect its density, its beauty, and its perpetual drawings. From then on, artistic creation becomes another possible reading of the world, a renewed reality, a widened focus.
