The images in my "Living flowers" series, which will be exhibited at Davel 14, are the starting point for the posters for the Cully Jazz Festival 2025, created in collaboration with the Carnal Verona studio. They were presented at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris during my solo exhibition "Poetry of the Earth".
Since 2019, I've been developing this research based on a collection of slides. Originally, Jocelyne and Emilio Valobonsi (a couple of amateur mycologists from Bavaix) documented native species classified as "Protected Flowers of Switzerland". Attentive to the fragility of ecosystems, I was inspired to chemically transform these archive images and create a parallel between the disappearance of images and that of endangered species. Printed on banners, metallized paper or cut-outs, new motifs appear, giant or intimate, in the luminous colors of life.
